Club Policies & Information
YOUTH MEMBER POLICIES
Members 13 years of age and younger are not permitted on the fitness floor and they cannot use any of the fitness equipment. Access is limited to the track and basketball court. Members that are 12 or 13 years old my take a Junior Certification with one of our personal trainers to allow access to the fitness floor. Once the certification is taken, the member must have parent supervision on the fitness floor until they are 14 years old. Cost of a Junior Certification is $45.
Juniors must be at least 15 years old to be left alone on South Shore property.
GUEST POLICIES
Guests must register at the member desk and pay for their daily passes plus any court or activity fees. Guests are limited to five visits per year.
COURT RESERVATION POLICY
All our tennis, pickleball, & racquetball courts may be booked up to 7 days in advance. Cancellation must be made 24 hours in advance to avoid court charges.
AQUATICS CENTER POLICIES
Our Aquatics Center has something for everyone. Whether you are swimming laps, taking swimming lessons, participating in aqua-fitness classes or relaxing in our whirlpool, sauna or steam room, we are committed to your health and safety. To ensure that you have a positive experience and we live up to our high standards, please review these policies before utilizing our Aquatics Center amenities:
NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY
Children between the ages of 10 and 14 years old may use the pool during open swim if they have passed our swim test. Parents must be in the building.
Children under the age of 14 years are not permitted to use the spa or steam room.
All pool users must enter facing forward, feet first (NO DIVING).
No running or horseplay.
No street shoes are allowed on the pool deck.
State health code requires that ALL pool users must take a shower using soap before entering the pool or spa or when exiting the steam room.
Personal grooming must be done in the locker rooms. It is not permitted on the pool deck or in the steam room.
Hair conditioning treatments must be rinsed from the hair before entering the pool or spa. This applies even if you wear a swim cap.
Glass containers are NOT permitted in the Aquatic Center.
Food and beverages are NOT permitted in the Aquatic Center.
FITNESS CLASS POLICIES
Most classes are co-ed, drop-in and FREE to all members. Junior members under 14 years of age are not permitted in the fitness classes unless accompanied by a member parent.
Before beginning an exercise program, please consult your physician.
To become a member at SSHRC: please come in and fill out the membership application with any of our front desk staff. Once application is completed, you are a member of SSHRC!
